Mr. Messy! (notice his shirt in the previous post)

FRUITY PEBBLES FIASCO!!!!

While I was paying bills this afternoon I noticed that Boston was being suspiciously quiet (a common occurance) so I called out for him and he said that he was "building a mountain". I figured he was playing with his blocks or something and I went back to the bills. Unfortunately, I later found out that Boston was "building a mountain" out of Fruity Pebbles and not blocks... disaster! See the incriminating photos below. At least he helped clean up (he loves our shop vac!).

2008 Stock Show!

This past weekend we went to the Denver Stock Show & Rodeo! The kids loved petting all the animals, playing in the pins and seeing a man jump a motorcycle over a truck and horse trailer! (Boston's still talking about how that was his favorite part!) My camera died before the rodeo started so these are the only pics we have from the night.....

Brooklyn's Cowgirl Boots
Why not take family picture in front of the ugliest cow you have ever seen??

Petting the Goats...
The next day, Boston picked up a "Viking Hat" and said, "Mom look, a Goat!"
Whats down there Brooklyn???

A scary looking, yet unique COW!

Brooklyn is trying to plug her nose of the HORRIBLE smell! Hilarious!

Surprise in a BAG!!

So tonight, Tyler was supposed to be putting the kids to bed, when all I can hear is giggles and laughter... Tyler walks down the stairs with a GIANT duffel bag... and says... "I have a delivery for you..." Smiling, he sets it on the floor and I unzip it to find......

My kids!!

Naturally, Mom thought it looked fun & took a turn!
The best SURPRISE!
Funnest Dad in the world!
(Yes, my kids are actually in there)

Kill Him or Kodak Him? :)

We have been trying to potty train Boston for a month or two now and had not had any luck until this last week... sort of. I was cleaning up after breakfast once Tyler and Brooklyn had left for school and all of a sudden I realized Boston was being suspiciously quiet. I quickly found him in our study and could not believe what I was seeing. Boston had removed the top of our heat register, had pulled his pants off and was peeing down into our heating vent! I almost died laughing. When I asked him what he was doing he said, "I peed in the bent".

Below is a picture of Boston explaining to me what had happened. We've obviously got a ways to go on the potty training front but least he knows how to aim!

Dreams & Goals for 2008

Okay, I know most of you are not interested in my dreams and goals for 2008, but since blogging is the only sort of journaling that I do, you're going to have to bear with me! For some reason I feel that if I post it for all to see, I feel somewhat accountable and might actually stick to them!

1. I promised my older much more fit sister that I would run the "Bolder Boulder" with her this May...Wish me luck, I can't run to the mailbox and back without a breather!

2. To be more patient with my kids!! I sometimes get a little anal and "neat" when it comes to my kids imagination and creativity... Yes, I am one of those Moms who can't stand to have their kid color out of the lines or mix the colors while they are painting.... I'm the Mom that tears down the pillow and blanket fort 20 minutes after it's built because it makes my family room look messy! I know, I know..this is a problem!

3. I want to get my Phlebotomy Certification up to date so that I will be able to work at the Draw Lab once both my kids start Montessori in the fall..

4. Travel to Europe with my husband and NO kids! I have a little anxiety about leaving them... I am the mother that drug my little Brooklyn to China when she was 3 months old because I have a serious case of separation anxiety!

5. Lose the last 10 pounds of my Boston baby weight! I have been using the fact that I had two babies 14 months apart as my excuse...My BABY is going to be 3 this year, I think I need to lose the weight or find another excuse!

6. Read the Scriptures with my husband every night... (Yes honey, you read that right!!) I usually tend to fall asleep before we get through the first verse.. Oops!

7. Get organized! I have a friend that is a true inspiration! (Yes, you Molly) Every time I go to her house or even when she comes to mine, I leave thinking... Wow! I wish i was as organized as her! Yes, Molly this is the year!

8. To stop being so selfish and start thinking about having another baby... Maybe I can get pregnant Dec. 31st of 2008..... So we might have a baby by September of 2009! Haha!

9. Show my husband how much I love an appreciate how much he does for our family! Honey, you're the best! I am so lucky to have you!

10. To learn to snow ski without one tear! I admit, I hate to be COLD and uncomfortable so there is always at least one breakdown on the slopes! This is the year to buck up and get it done so my hubby and I can enjoy an outdoor sport together!

wish me luck! a

William's Baby Blessing!

Yesterday (Sunday the 6th), we were lucky enough to fly to California for the day to visit one of our newest Nephews, William for his baby blessing! -- (yes, I am finally an AUNT!!) It was such a great blessing and is always so fun to get the family together!
Way to go Nate and Nicole, he is ADORABLE!

Facing my greatest FEAR!

Yesterday, I faced one of my greatest fears in life -- flying on a small plane over the Rockies! If any of you have flown over the Rockies in the winter, it can be a little turbulent! Yikes! I couldn't sleep for days, but it was worth every second of sleep lost! Fred (the pilot) made sure I was aware of every bump we were about to encounter and kept me informed and comfortable about what was going to happen the entire flight! Tyler rode Co-pilot on the way home and let me know as soon as we landed his plans to take Pilot/Flight lessons! Okay, so you got me on the plane....it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be...but forget about the flight lessons honey!
